2. Day (Mon) - Island Ærø, Denmark / Germany
Biking Tour approx. 61 km/38 mi

Early in the morning the Flying Dutchman will start the cruise at sea. Very soon we will leave the German territory and cross over Danish waters. At lunch time we will reach the port Marstal on the Island Ærø. From this old seafarer town our first bike tour will start after lunch. The tour leads around the whole island- one of the most beautiful Danish islands. On the way we will pass pretty villages like Bregninge which is one of the longest one-street villages of the country. Søby und Ærøskøbing known as a fairy tale town show a well preserved medieval townscape. The evening will be spent in Marstal. Do not miss to look at the bathing huts situated southwest of the port - some years ago they were built illegally nut by now they coin the appearance of the village.

3. Day (Tue) - Island Langeland, Denmark
Biking Tour approx. 40 km/25 mi

After the morning cruise we will start with our bicycles from Bagenkob on the south top of the Island Langeland. The characteristics of the landscape will be realised soon: thousands of hat formed hills which developed during the end of the last Ice Age. Hence the bike tour will lead us constantly up- and downhill. We will meet the Flying Dutchman in Rudkøbing where we will spend the night.

4. Day (Wed) - Islands Langeland, Siø, Tåsinge and Fyn (Fünen), Denmark
Biking Tour approx. 55 km/34 mi

After the morning cruise we will start with our bicycles from Bagenkob on the south top of the Island - ready to discover four different islands the record at Islandhopping. This is only possible due to the connecting bridges from island to island. The characteristics of the landscape will be realised soon: thousands of hat formed hills which developed during the end of the last Ice Age. Hence the bike tour will lead us constantly up- and downhill. In Rudkøbing we will leave Langeland and bike over a bridge to the small Island Siø; again connected by a bridge to Tåsinge. Valdemars Slot (castle) and the lovely town Troense invite for a longer stay. The last bridge will finally lead us to Svendborg on the Island Fünen- one of the most picturesque town of Denmark where we will also stay overnight.

5. Day (Thu) - Island Fyn (Fünen), Svendborg - Faaborg, Denmark
Biking Tour approx. 48 km/30 mi

Slowly we will start the day after breakfast by biking through calm residental areas along the coast of Fünen. The first part of the tour is almost even and will mostly lead along the sea. The view will cross over to the island Tåsinge and its countless sailing boats passing through the island channel. Half way of the tour we will leave the coastal area and start the ascent to the so called Funic Alps. Don't worry- the so called alps only reach an altitude of 100 meters. On the way we will also pass big farm buildings and impressing manor houses. We will associate Christmas time when cycling next to tree nurseries showing a huge range of Christmas trees. Today's final destination is Faaborg. Here we will bike through Pipstorn- a forest presenting burial plots and cultural sites. A stroll through this part of the forest is - for those who are interested - surely amazing.

6. Day (Fri) - Islands Als und Kegnæs, Denmark
Biking Tour approx. 61 km/38 mi

In the morning the Flying Dutchman will set sail for approx. 2 hours from Faaborg to the port of Fynshav on the Island Als. From the 18 meter high light tower which is situated at the beginning of the peninsular a nice view to the surrounding islands and the sea can be enjoyed. After a small round we will leave Kegnæs in order to reach Sønderborg after some kilometre. We will stay for the night in this town therefore the whole evening can be spend for a stroll through the alleys and the park with its impressive palace.

After a short stop the tour will continue to Lindaunis where we will cross the fjord on a one way flap bridge to be shared with car and train traffic.
